Recently, we learned from Chery iCAR that iCAR V23 will start pre-sale at the 2024 Guangzhou Auto Show and will be officially launched at the end of this year. The car is jointly built by Chery Automobile and Zhimi Technology. It is positioned as a pure electric compact SUV and will provide rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions. The 2024 Guangzhou Auto Show will officially open on November 15.
In terms of appearance, the iCAR V23 adopts the currently popular “square box” shape, equipped with a round headlight group, a slightly raised engine hood, and also has hidden door handles, side pedals, widened wheel arches and other details. The vehicle charging port is located on the right rear side of the vehicle, and the C/D pillars are closed.
At the rear, the iCAR V23 is designed with a “schoolbag”-shaped external storage box, which is connected to the interior and can be regarded as an additional storage space, but it cannot be opened from the outside. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the car are 4220/1915/1845 mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2735 mm. The overall size is close to that of the iCAR 03 (length, width and height are 4406/1910/1715 mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2715 mm).
In addition, the declaration information shows that the iCAR V23 has an approach angle of 42/43 degrees, a departure angle of 40/41 degrees, a minimum ground clearance of 206/212 mm (two-wheel drive version/four-wheel drive version), and 19-inch and 21-inch rims respectively. The car will also be equipped with 4 millimeter-wave radars to achieve L2+ level assisted driving function.
The iCAR V23 is equipped with a large-size floating central control screen, the car system is equipped with an 8155 chip, and physical buttons are set below the central control screen. At the same time, the car provides a multi-function steering wheel. In terms of configuration, the iCAR V23 is equipped with a heat pump system, a Yanfei Lisi audio system, and the instrument panel and luggage rack can be optional. In terms of power, the iCAR V23 is built on a new platform architecture, providing single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor four-wheel drive versions. The peak power of the rear-wheel drive version is 100 kilowatts, and the cruising range is more than 400 kilometers (test conditions are unknown). The peak power of the front motor of the four-wheel drive version is 55 kilowatts, the peak power of the rear motor is 100 kilowatts, and the cruising range is more than 500 kilometers (test conditions are unknown).
